Have you noticed the increase in makeup looks I've been sharing on my blog and Instagram? Over the past couple of weeks, I've really been studying my camera, lighting and set up so that I can improve my 'selfie' taking skills. I want to show off some more of my makeup looks and makeup artistry work here on my blog and across my social media. Today, I thought I would share this simple but bold look that I did a few short weeks back. In January we had an evening at school were we had a professional photographer come in and take some shots of our makeup application and ourselves. This is the makeup look I decided to rock for the special occasion. After doing this look, I also realized some things about some of the products I used in the look.
I purchased the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette well over a year ago and when I first purchased the palette I used it for months on end and loved the palette. I still love the palette for its color selection and pigmentation. But I find the bendability of these shadows to be lacking. If you look really closely you can see on the inner portion of my crease that there is almost little lines of where the shadow has skipped and not blended out as well. After taking a break from this palette and trying other products I really now notice this more than I once did. I do suffer from a bit of a drier skin type since being on Accutane but I think for such an expensive palette that it should work well on all skin (and eye) types.

Overall this has been one of my favorite looks and something that I tend to come back to on a pretty regular basis. When I'm attending a special event or going somewhere fancy and I don't want to have to think about my makeup I tend to grab right for this palette and I go right for this look. It's almost foolproof unless of course I mess up my winged eyeliner which happens quite a bit. I'm happy that I could share this super easy Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette look with you today while putting a spin on such an easy look by adding a bright and bold lip color, which I've also been loving lately.
What are your thoughts on the UD Naked 2 Palette?
Did you enjoy seeing this look?
