Covergirl Flamed Out Max Mascara | Review & Thoughts!

Friday, May 16, 2014

Hey Dolls!
Recently I have been on the hunt for a really good mascara, I've wanted something that gives me length and volume without the clumps. I was at my local WalMart searching for one and decided that I hadn't tried a Covergirl mascara in quite some time, so I decided to pick this up! This is not however the regular Flamed Out Mascara, this is the Flamed Out Max Mascara, I'm not 100% sure if there is a difference all I know is the packaging for the Max Mascara has purple on it where as the original does not.

I am overall really impressed with this mascara, I paid $5.97 on sale from my local WalMart and am really glad that I decided to pick this up. I also am really in love with the curved brush, which I have never tried before so that was a brand new experience. The mascara formula is not super dry, but not super wet either however it does lean more towards the wet side (I preferable like this in mascara's and find it clings to my lashes better). I find that with one or two strokes though my lashes they are completely covered and I like the thank the curved shape brush for that because it fits my lash line perfectly.

The only down side to this mascara I have is that it can get a bit clumpy, unfortunately because of how wet the formula is it can stick to the very ends of the  lashes, to fit this problem I simply comb through them with a lash comb or use my Maybelline Great Lash Mascara on top which has a very dry formula and doesn't deposit a lot of extra product onto my lashes! I will be using this mascara until I finish it up but it probably isn't something I will purchase again.

    1. It is really nice if you enjoy the more wet formula. The package is also very small and easy to carry around wth you!
