Favorite Summer Blushes | feat. Swatches!

Summer seems to be one of the hardest times for me to wear makeup - I hate wearing all of my face makeup in the summer time because of how it is and because of how oily and gross my skin just feels after a long day of makeup. However I do still use a few products ~ blush being one of my favorites! I wanted to share a few of my favorite summer time blushes with you guys to show you that sometimes less is more and you don't always have to do a full face of makeup to feel pretty, fresh and summer time ready!

NYX Cream Blush in Natural:
This blush is perfect if you don't want to overload your face with a ton of powder this summer season, this blush is also perfect for the girl who doesn't want to wear a bold and bright barbie pink blush. This blush is a cream blend formula and stays on all day long and does keep its pigment through the day. I also feel like these cream type of blushes last especially well in the hot and humid weather of summer.

NYX Powder Blush in Peach:
Another great option is to go for a slight sheen blush such as this one by NYX, sometimes you don't want your face to look completely matte in the summer because your face really isn't suppose to. I love this blush because it gives my cheeks a nice glow of peach but at the some time appears as if my skin is actually glowing - I think this makes the skin and overall complexion appear fresh, youthful and radiant.

NYC Cheek Glow in Prospect Park Rose:
I have never really been a fan of these blushes from the drugstore, but recently they came out with brand new shades and I decided to pick this one up. Its the perfect peach shade for this summer season and it lasts a really long time on the cheeks. This also gives a slight sheen to the skin making you appear healthier.

Physicians Formula Happy Booster Blush in Warm:
This is one of my absolute favorites for the summer time simply because it is not matte, this blush contains a lot of micro-glitter, sparkle and shine. And yes this does transfer onto the skin. I like to use this blush and apply it to the backs of my cheeks and then drag forward to my apples because I love the glowy healthy shine that it gives to my skin and I want to concentrate that healthy glow to the outer edges of my face. I like to drag this onto my apples after the product is applied because I wanted to the color there more than the shine. This is also one of those perfect peach colors for summer.

ELF Studio Blush in Pink Passion:
This is my favorite blush of the whole entire bunch, I love barbie pink blushes in the summer because you can create so many different looks with them, you can sheer this blush out so that its very light on the cheeks and doesn't appear heavy, but you can also build this up to full intensity giving you something really playful and girly on the cheeks. I suggest building this product to the intensity to you want!

Here are swatches of the blushes in the order they were talked about above!
