March Favorites!

Wednesday, April 1, 2015

Hey Beauties! Its been such a long time since I've done a monthly favorites post. And its also been a really long time since I feel like I actually liked a group of products enough to talk about. Over the last month if you've been on my Twitter, Facebook or Instagram page you have seen me rave about a few products and today I'm going to share them all in one post with you. I will of course leave links to any related posts I've done of these products down below for you to check out since this will be only be a short little overview of the products and why I love them so much. I also wanted to know if you would like to see some more not so lovely products in my monthly favorites post in the future. I think this would spice things up a little bit since I don't see many bloggers doing it. Lets just jump right into my 'March Favorites'!

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
This is a fairly new product to hit the drugstores this winter and I picked it up just cause it was on sale. I hadn't heard any reviews or seen any images or blog posts on it, but I wanted to take a risk. It paid off because the $5 I spent on this was the best $5 ever. This mascara does have a curved wand which did take some getting used to and did cause me a bit of mess at first. But if you can get used to the wand this formula curls, holds, gives volume and length to the lashes. This mascara also doesn't flake, smear or smudge!

NYC Smooth Skin Bronzer in Sunny
This was a rediscovered product for me this month. I'm not a huge fan of warm toned bronzers with my skin tone, but I pulled this out and gave it a go again. I really loved how natural this bronzer made my skin look and it was really easy to blend into the skin. I also wanted to mention it cause its only $3 at the local drugstore and I think a lot of people would enjoy the bargain and the product. I used this mainly at the beginning of the month until I found a product I'll talk about in a second.

Kat Von D InnerStellar Eyeshadow Palette
I wasn't going to add this into my favorites this month because it was a Limited Edition Palette and I'm not sure that you can get your hands on it anymore. But I still wanted to share that I think this is a great palette. I picked it up for the cool toned shadows and because I'm a sucker for purple eyeshadow and it really is beautiful once applied to the eyes. I would caution you when using this palette though that there is some fallout and some colors can blended together and look like one color. But this palette has an amazing color range and super soft and blendable shadows. Its also really easy to create a full eye look with and it makes it super easy.

Physicians Formula Bronzer Booster in Light/Medium
Here is the bronzer that replaced NYC Sunny and if you saw my blog post (linked below) I kinda of just tried this because I was going to throw it away and thank god that I did. I've never had a light bronzer before and because of that I was hesitant to try this one but this gives the MOST natural bronze look I have ever tried. I also find this really blendable for down the neck and on my chest. I also really love that it is such a light color because the color is really easy to build upon itself and can give you a more tanned look it that's what you're going for! I do warn you though this product is about $15 bucks here in Canada, so catch it when its on sale like I did!

LA Girl Smoky, Ultra and Neon Eyeshadow Palettes
Recently I finally found the new LA Girl Palettes in my drugstore and immediately bought the Smoky Eyeshadow version. I went home and tried it and liked it so much that I went back to the store later that day and got they other two they had in stock. I'm still on the hunt for the Nudes Palette. These shadows are so pigmented and smooth and the blend like a dream. These are probably one of the best blending eyeshadows I use even compared to brands like Urban Decay and Kat Von D. These palettes are only $7 and I hope in the future maybe LA Girl does ton's more palettes and products like these! I'm also really excited to get my hands on the new Blush & Bronzer Palettes they just released if these shadows palettes are any indication of how great they are!

Maybelline Dream Liquid Foundation
This was a foundation that I used a long time ago when I first got into makeup and I recently pulled it out of my collection to give it a try again. This automatically became one of my favorite foundations again. However, it does slightly break me out the longer I wear it. I only like to wear this on shorter days when I know I can come home and wash it off within a couple hours of application. I love that this gives super full coverage and lasts a very long time. I also love how this blends out with both a damp beauty blender and a stippling brush.

Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner Pen
I have really been focusing on doing more winged liner using a variety of different techniques. But this liner has got to be the best at doing them all. I bought this a few months back at WalMart for around $7 and I wasn't a huge fan of it because of the really long and thin felt tip that it has. I've since learned to love this fact about it because it allows the tip to stay quite wet with the product, which allows for better transfer on my upper lash line. I also really like this because it allows me to do a super thin line of liner or push a bit harder and make a thicker line.

I hope you enjoyed sharing some of my favorite products this month. I really enjoyed using a variety of things and really paying attention to which one's really worked for me and which one's really didn't. I can't wait to try even more products during April and share even more of my favorites at the end of this month. I also wanted to mention that you can find out more about which products I'm using and liking via my social media which is always linked at the end of each post. I also have a very special new Bloggers Facebook Page, which you can find the link to on both my Twitter, Tumblr and Facebook pages/accounts! Also leave me your monthly favorites down below or link me to your blog posts as I'd love to read them and possible try some new products!

    1. My collection is probably about 33% Maybelline products! There just that one brand in the drugstore that I'm always going to for everything. However, I have found some disappointing products!

      Thanks for reading :)

  3. Ive heard quite a bit about the NYC Bronzer and I never pick it up, its always something I forget about! Though I have picked up the Maybelline Sensational Mascara and love it. Im not used to such a wet formulation though as I like it once its dried out a little, it was great fun if I sneezed haha!

  4. I was thinking of picking up the Maybelline mascara yesterday. I think I need to make it my next purchase. I had gotten away from the brand for a few years (I don't know why) I am slowly coming back to Maybelline and I like a lot of what I am seeing from the brand. Checking in from BBU!
