Battle of the Concealers | Hot or Not!

Hey Dolls!
One of my favorite things in my make-up collection has to be concealers, not only do I use these to cover my imperfections but I use these to highlight areas of my face I want to draw forward and I also use these for many other purposes. I thought I would put together a post today of most of the concealers that I own and give you mini-reviews of each one and then at the end tell you which ones are my most reached for and which one's just suck!

NYX Above & Beyond Full Coverage Concealer - $7
This is a super full coverage concealer and works best on covering unwanted blemishes and discoloration on the skin. This also works great lightly under the eyes, it can appear cakey however if you apply to much. This also works great for shaping around the brows or around the eyes

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer - $7
This concealer is a very light liquidy concealer, this works great for highlighting all over the face or for covering unwanted blemishes or discoloration all over the face. Recently its my favorite for highlighting my entire face. This does not appear cakey or built up on the skin, it sinks into the skin very well.

NYC Liquid Concealer - $3
This is a very liquidy concealer and does work great for highlighting different areas of the face, however this is very light weight and I find that when blended into the skin it disappears and has very little coverage. However the lighter shades do work for highlighting down the nose and under the eyes because it does create a lighter color.

Maybelline Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser Concealer - $9
This concealer contains a sponge tip application and allows you to roll the product onto the skin, this concealer works best under the eyes to help brighten then (however I don`t feel as if it decreases your dark circles). This also works very well for covering blemishes and discoloration, it is meant for the under eye but works wonder all over the face.

LA Girl Pro Concealer - $2 to 3
This concealer comes with a brush, in which you squeeze the product on through the brush and then brush it into the face, this is a very talked about concealer and I don`t get the hype. This does work great for covering blemishes and discoloration and since I have only tried one shade (my skin tone) I am unsure of the highlighting effect it has, but I`m sure the lighter shades would work well for that because of the formula and the darker shades could also work well to do a light contour or bronze look all over the face.

Hard Candy Glamoflauge Concealer - $6
This concealer is a very heavy cream like consistency, this does work perfectly for covering any type of blemish or discoloration on the face, however this can be very cakey. I tend to like to make this a little lighter my combining it with a moisturizer, I find that this helps it set into the skin a bit more. This really only works for covering discoloration, I would not use this under the eye because it is super heavy.

ELF Maximum Converage Concealer - $3
This concealer is a very cream like consistency and works perfectly for covering dark circles under the eyes and for covering blemishes and discoloration on the skin, I also find that you can build this concealer up and it does not become cakey. I find that it sets very nicely into the skin, but if you find it to be to heavy you can combine it with a little bit of moisturizer.

All of these concealers are really great and can be used for multiple different things you can also use this is you are a special effects artist or just a beginner, most of these range in cost and that`s my favorite part because most of these work just the same. However I am a Maybelline lover and enjoy those concealers the most because I feel as if they work better for my skin (combination oily/dry), I also find that the Maybelline concealer are much easier to set and stay in place all day.

I hope you enjoyed this post and found it helpful, check out my social media to see more images of these products!

    1. I love the Pro Concealer but I bought a shade that was too dark for me, so I need to purchase a lighter shade!
