Top Products of 2014 | Face!

This year has been a really amazing one as far as makeup is concerned and I have found some really amazing products that I've been dying to share with you all in one large post. Because I have so many favorites I am breaking this down into categories, and for today's post its going to feature all face products! There are nine products in this category that are featured but there are some more that I loved that I will also be sharing with you all! Many of these products I used for everyday use in 2014, some are even now empties and some are products that have been repurchased time and time again. Most of these products are drugstore and range from three dollars to 15 dollars and I've thrown in some high-end items that I found on super sales this year and that I really did fall in love with. If you want to see my favorite face products for 2014 click the link below...

2014 has been an amazing year for me and there are so many amazing face products that I have tested and tried and while many of them are just 'okay' there are a few great standout products that have really impressed me. Through 2014 I suffered with large amount of acne and while battling that I have found many products that have not only worked well for my acne but have also just improved the look of my skin overall. Many of these products are one's I use regularly every single day and have been repurchased by me several times. Here are a few of my top face products for 2014:

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer | HERE
One of the many highlights of my year was finding this primer on sale at my local Shoppers Drug Mart for $24 dollars! Of course I couldn't say no because of all the rave reviews on it and I used this thing everyday until it was gone. I love that its silicone based and isn't heavy on the skin and it didn't block my pores!

Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer (Color Correcting) | HERE
Redness really struck my skin hard this year with all the acne issues, so I was trying to see if there were any products out there to help with it. While I feel this primer is amazing, I did notice only a slight helpful hand in dealing with the redness. However this is a more of a cream to powder type of primer and was again very light on the skin and really helped my makeup last 12+ hours!

Revlon Colorstay Foundation (Normal/Dry Skin) | HERE
After using a cheap no-coverage foundation I knew I was in need of a good one and after hearing so many good reviews I tried the Revlon Colorstay and I have to say this stuff is flawless. However because of my dry skin, even though I have the normal to dry skin formula I still feel like this clings to dry patches. I do think this is insane full coverage and lasts a long time even without wearing a primer underneath!

L'Oreal True Match Foundation in C1 | HERE
After trying the Revlon foundation I ran out of it pretty quick and I wanted to try something new and a bit lighter than that formula. I have to say this stuff is very liquid and its very light on the skin. This is a medium coverage but is very buildable in the areas that you may need it. These also come in a huge range of colors including warm, cool and neutral!

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in #115 | HERE
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer has been a long loved favorite for many years and I have 5 of these in my empties bag and the one I'm using is almost empty. This is a super great full coverage concealer while at the same time being brightening for under the eyes and being a very light feel on the skin. It also doesn't clog up my pores or cling to dry spots and is really easy to blend out!

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Translucent | HERE
This powder is another products that I have repurchased over and over again and this product is really good at making my skin appear matte and does help to control my oil throughout the day. It also helps my foundation last longer and I find it to be very light weight on the skin and you don't have to use a lot of it to get the matte look you want!

Essence All About Matte Powder | HERE
Another great powder that I was fortunate to try this year was the Essence Powder and this is white in color so I don't use this all over my face, because I am already so pale I don't know if that will cause more of a white cast. However I do use this for brightening my under eye and while this does appear translucent it does help in brightening the areas of my face I want brightened.

NYX Powder Blush in Taupe | HERE
I was not that big into contouring before 2014, because I could never find a bronzer or contour powder that wasn't orange on my pale skin. However I ordered this blush online and wanted to try it for contouring and this is the product I use every single day. Its the perfect grey toned brown shade and works well for paler skin tones! This is also really easy to work with and blends effortlessly!

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Magic | Limited Edition
My last and latest addition to my blush collection has to be a deluze size sample product and I originally wasn't going to add this in here, but considering I have been using it straight everyday for a month, I think it belongs in this post. This blush is smooth, pigmented, easy to blend and lasts a crazy long time. I recommend trying one of these bad boys out, however the shade I have is Limited Edition, but if you want to see a swatch and information about this color check it out here!

Here are some other products I loved in 2014 that were a little less amazing to me but are still things I used almost every single day and are serious worth checking out if you get the chance:
Smashbox Hydrating Photo Finish Foundation Primer
Covergirl Outlast 3 in 1 Stay Fabulous Foundation
Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous Concealer
ELF Essential ($2) Blushes
Essence Silky Touch Blushes
Jordana Powder Blushes

    1. I'm really loving face products and a semi-flawless complexion. I don't have perfect skin and I love my imperfections but I love products that help my skin!
