4 Looks, 1 Palette feat. Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette!

Thursday, January 21, 2016

Today I'm doing a brand new post today here on Embrace & Ignite! I was inspired by the lovely Kristin Gehm on YouTube and her 4 Looks, 1 Palette series! She has been doing these for what seems like forever and she has over 30 in her playlist right now. Her series features palettes by Too Faced, LORAC, Urban Decay and many more. I highly recommend checking out her channel and playlist for more great palette inspiration. Today I thought I would take her idea and do my own blog creation of it! I'm sure I'm not the only blogger doing this but I thought it would be a really exciting way to find a variety of makeup looks that can be completed with just one palette. I'll also throw in a mini-review of the palette at the end of this post and link any other reviews or swatches I've done of the palette.

Today I'm going to share the 4 Looks I did using the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette! I got this palette a few months back and only used it once or twice. I wasn't impressed with the shadows or the quality so I stuck it into my drawer and didn't pull it back out....until recently. I decided the Holiday Seasons was a perfect time to pull this palette back out and see if I really did like or dislike this palette. I do have to say that my opinion has changed and I do really enjoy this palette. Let's get into the looks I created:

Overall, I'm really impressed with the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette. When I originally bought this palette I purchased it because I didn't have any true warm shades in my collection. I think this is the reason I didn't use the palette at first, because generally more cool tones suit my skin tone and type. However, I was pleasently surprised when using this over the Holidays just how much I enjoyed this palette. The shadows blend absolutely beautiful, better than any other shadow I have tried really. The shadows are also pigmented and smell like delicious chocolate. The only thing I wish would have been in this palette is a black shade - I tend to like to use black to darken my crease and outer v so this would have come in good use for me. But I'm glad that there wasn't a black because it really allowed me to create looks outside of my comfort zone!
