L'Oreal True Match Foundation | First Impression's & Review!

Tuesday, June 10, 2014

Recently I ran out of my Revlon Colorstay Foundation and I wanted to try something new from a brand that I really haven't experiment with especially in the foundation department. I saw that the L'Oreal True Match Foundation was actually tons cheaper than the Colorstay and so I decided to pick them up - upon going to the checkout this actually rang up the wrong price, therefor I actually got it ten dollars off and only paid $0.98! I know crazy right. I was also really worried about this foundation so I'm kind of glad that i got it so cheap - if you want to know more about how I got it so cheap leave me a comment!

Overall L'Oreal has not been a brand I've ever been interested, simply because I think there prices are very high and there products very small, however I have gotten some things on clearance and have fallen in love with them and that was no exception for this foundation. There is a huge color selection no this foundation, which I found really hard to try and pick from since there is three different sections of foundation and than colors within each section, but after doing some research I finally found out how the color selection works and am going to do a separate blog post all about it :)

Upon first use of this foundation is a very liquid consistency and isn't something you should just dump and pore, you have to be very careful when pouring this onto the back of your hand because you can release to much product. I do however love the consistency because it allows it to be very lightweight, but yet it has tons of coverage! This goes on the skin very creamy, light and easily blendable, I like to use my beauty blender when doing foundation now just because it helps me to control the coverage I get. I also find this foundation very buildable, so around my nose and chin area where I have some discoloration, I just like to put a second layer of the foundation on and it covers up any imperfections that I may have.

I also love this because it does have SPF in the foundation and because this foundation is non-comedogenic, which means that it will not clog your pores. I like to use non-comedogenic products since my recent spurt of acne because it allows my skin to breathe more, but I also find these type of products last longer on my skin (of course I still use a primer underneath)!

Have you tried this foundation? What are your thoughts?
