ELF Haul & Mini-First Impressions!

Friday, July 18, 2014

Today I have a haul to share with you all, I know that I have been on a spending ban and yes this haul and purchase did break it, however ELF (eyeslipsface) had an incredible sale! I always wanted to repurchase some things that I had recently ran out of, not to mention this is the first make-up purchase I have made this month, so I'm very proud that I have been able to do that! As many of you know ELF (eyeslipsface) is a super affordable brand and they usually have really great sales as well, the one I purchased my products on was a huge 50% off everything on the website. I purchased some products I had ran out of and some of the new releases ELF (eyeslipsface) has done recently and that bloggers have been buzzing about!

EYES:
32-Piece Geometric Eyeshadow Palette ~ III Addition | $6 = $3
*this palette comes in three different shades/colors and surprising when I first swatched this it was very bright, pigmented and well made, I do however think its going to be hard to get into some of the smaller eyeshadows*

18-Piece Geometric Eyeshadow Palette ~ II Addition & IV Addition | $5 = $2.50
*is your looking for a smaller palette these could be great for that, I love that you can get so many different looks with the colors and shade ranges, however I do think that the smaller areas could be harder to get into with a brush*

80-Piece Day to Night Eyeshadow Palette | $10 = $5
*this palette is another great one that I was very happy to pick up, I have one like the but its got a palette or eyeshadow's and then blushes and I love the quality of that one so I wanted to pick up this one with tons of colors of eyeshadow's in it for my to experiment with - so far pigmentation is so-so and okay*

Essential Smudge Pot in Ain't That Sweet | $3 = $1.50

*I do already own two of the smudge pots, so I do know that I like them, however I own two darker colors and wanted to pick up a lighter colored one so that I could really use and test out all over my eyes alone and under eyeshadow*

Mineral Waterproof Shadow Liner in Black & Taupe | $3 = $1.50
*I saw that these were a new product on the website and I also thoughts since because it is from the mineral line that I would give some of the them a try, I have never tried much from the mineral line and first impressions aren't very good for these, the black is not pigmented, however they are both creamy*

LIPS:
Essential Lip Balm Tint in Nude & Grapefruit | $2 = $1
*I have also heard many things from beauty blogger here on blogger and youtube about these lip balms and because I honestly don't have a lot of lip balms I wanted to give these a try and hope they will work perfectly this summer as something to just throw on without fuss*

Essential Lipstick in Seductive & Posh | $1 = $0.50
*I have also many of the other shades of this lipstick, but I wanted to pick up some more red shades because I'm really trying to brand out in the color lipsticks that I wear and for only fifty cents you really can't go wrong with picking these up on a sale*

Studio Moisturizing Lipstick in Party in the Buff, Pink Mink, Coral Cutie, Flirty & Fabulous and Wink Pink | $3 = $1.50
*these were the things that I were most excited for and for good reason, these have a great pigmentation however I find that upon first swatching them they were a bit dry but I'm hoping once I break through the top layer they won't be. I was also upset because one of the lipsticks came in a different packaging then all the others and I'm not sure why*

FACE:
Essential Blush with Brush in Flushed | $2 = $1
* I also own several shades of these and I love them because they are smooth and creamy like, but have great pigmentation, but almost too much! I love using this actually more than the Studio line version blushes*

Essential Shimmer with Brush in Pink | $2 = $1
*these are the same formula's as the blush I just talked about, but this I plan to use of course as a highlight because I think it would give me a nice pink glowy flush and make my skin appear a bit more healthy and glowy - so far I really like this!*

Studio Complete Coverage Concealer in Light | $3 = $1.50

*I've really wanted to try out some elf concealer lately after seeing this palette online and I thought by picking the lightest shade I would be able to use most if not all the shades in the palette however upon looking and swatching this palette the shades are quite dark and are very yellow toned so I'm going to try and see if I can make them work*

Studio Blush Palette in Dark | $6 = $3
*I really wanted to get both the light and dark version of the palette because I am a blush junkie however the light version was sold out so I settled for the dark version, I thought these colors were going to simply be the studio blush colors in palettes but so far I don't believe they are, there also really pigmented and super soft*

Studio Shimmer Palette | $3 = $1.50
*I love using cream highlights because I feel like they tend to stay on my face much longer than anything else. I saw this palette on the website and haven't heard much about it so I was very excited to pick this up and give it a try - this palette is extremely creamy and very pigmented as well*

Studio Makeup Mist & Set (X2) | $3 = $1.50
*this is the one product I repurchased in my order, this is my holy grail makeup products and is something I use on a daily basis. I have already used two bottles of this and its amazing stuff, I do have a review coming up on this product as well*
